Northfield Savings Bank Community All Star

With the Frost Heaves’ debut last season, the Northfield Savings Bank Community All-Star became an instant hit and launched an instant tradition. Under an ABA rule that permits a member of the community to suit up, sit the bench, and be eligible to play, the Frost Heaves and NSB scoured the state for local heroes, celebrities and Everyday Vermonters—people who had given 110% to their communities. By donning the Frost Heaves’ 110% jersey, they had a chance to raise money for charity; we had a chance to thank and honor them; and everyone had buckets of fun in the process.
Last season 23 NSB Community All-Stars suited up at 22 Frost Heaves games. By taking and making shots at halftime, they triggered more than $3,000 in giving to charities chosen by our fans. "Over the last 10 years Northfield Savings Bank has donated $4.5 million to hundreds of local organizations..., with the Community All-Star program an essential part of this effort. Look for the poster print featuring a montage of last season’s NSB Community All-Stars in Northfield Savings Bank branches, and follow the promotion all season, as NSB Community All-Stars take aim for Year Two.
